PAST PRESIDENT of the ROYAL INSTITUTE OF PAINTERS IN WATER COLOURS
‘A JOURNEY LIKE NO OTHER’ (09/02/21) This September, Rosa will be releasing her second book entitled ‘A Journey Like No Other’. ROSA SEPPLE PRI (06/01/17) Rosa is honoured to have been elected by her peers as the first woman President of the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours. The RI was founded in 1831 and Rosa is the 15th President. CHINESE INTERNATIONAL ART BIENNALE (02/08/16) Rosa has just returned from China after being asked to be Chairman of Judges and open the first China International Childrens Art Biennial in Beijing. The other judges were Boris Lysikov from Russia, Gosia Herba from Poland, Rose Lecompt from France, from China Li Zuwang, Yichun and the sponsor Ma Jingyao. The organizers selected the exhibition from over 10,000 entries. Luckily the International judges selected the winning entries from the final 150 paintings, which was a hard task in itself as the standard was exceptionally high. Whilst in Beijing, Rosa also held Masterclasses for students at the prestigious ‘Enjoy Art Museum’ in the 948 Art District. “It was an amazing experience, the welcome from the Chinese people was unbelievable, they made me feel like Royalty. On arrival at the exhibition I even had the red carpet treatment and a beautiful bouquet of flowers presented to me”. There was, however time for some fun and sightseeing, if you can call climbing the Great Wall of China in a temperature of 41 degrees Celsius and waking up at 3am to go and see the raising of the flag in Tiananmen Square, fun.
